Infographic
My Mason students are hard at work on their infographic designs. Their task is to their audience about a subject that interests them or they feel strongly about. The student is responsible for locating and collecting data that teaches, informs, and/or shocks and portray that data visually. Information design is only as good as its data. So they are not to simply recreate a chart that could be made with Microsoft Excel, nor should they rely TOO much on typography to convey the message. They must focus on informational hierarchy and data relationships. Below are a few prelminary sketches. I can't wait to see their final products!
