In-class Exercises

The students are given 1 hour of in-class time to research, ideate, and create a design. There are four in-class exercises administrated through out the semester. Exercise 1 assignment is a "re-design" of an already created infographic. Exercise 2 they are tasked with a series of data points which they must visually display using a visual metaphor. While Exercise 3 they were instructed to create an intimate portrait of who they are as an individual, sort of like a visual resume of their skills and future potential. And finally, Exercise 5 they were tasked with visually displaying how they spend their time on a daily, weekly, and/or yearly basis. Of the four Exercises I found they showcased the most joy when displaying time relations. I also noticed that the 1 hour was not enough time for them to create a final solution, so I've made it a practice to offer them a weeks time to upload a final solution on Dropbox.
