I've created a watchlist on vimeo with a series of quality motion graphics. These examples use simple motion graphics and informational hierarchy and will serve as a baseline for Project 4: Info-motion. I will assign the students a series of lynda tutorials to prepare them for their 20second final project. Once the students have watched all of the tutorials and spent some time in the software, I will offer atleast three in-class demo sessions. I've also invited a colleague and coworker to help during these sessions. The demos will explain how to organize their timeline using layers, how to apply effects and keyframes, as well as how to apply sound to their animation. My hope is that with a strong storyboard and plenty of in-class time, the students will feel confident enough to create magic.
